Elokuvat ovat värikkäitä ja dramaattisia, ja niissä on runsaasti näyttäviä laulu- ja tanssikohtauksia. Intialaiselle yleisölle elokuvan tanssi- ja laulukohtaukset ovat usein jopa tärkeämpiä kuin itse elokuva ja usein kappaleet jäävätkin kansan mieleen pitkäksi aikaa senkin jälkeen kun itse elokuva on unohtunut. Danny's Bollywood Dance Crew'n (DBDC) esityksissä ja opetuksessa käytettävät musiikkikappaleet on tarkoin valikoitu kuvastamaan Bollywood-musiikin monimuotoisuutta.
Itse Bollywood-tanssi on sekoitus klassista intialaista tanssia, intialaisia kansantansseja sekä lukuisia muita tanssilajeja kuten jazzia, hiphopia, itämaista tanssia, latinalaisia tansseja sekä diskotanssia. Tanssikohtausten luonne ja liikekieli vaihtelee paljon eri elokuvien välillä riippuen elokuvan musiikista ja tunnelmasta. Näyttävät ja värikkäät puvut ovat tärkeä osa Bollywood-tanssia. Pukujen värit ja mallit korostavat Bollywood-tanssin monimuotoisuutta ja luovat ainutlaatuisen tunnelman. DBDC panostaa esityksissä käytettävän puvustuksen laatuun, näyttävyyteen ja autenttiseen ilmeeseen. Suunnittelemme puvut itse ja valmistutamme ne mittatilaustyönä sekä Suomessa että Intiassa.

Bollywood movies are colorful and dramatic and there are plenty of spectacular song and dance scenes. These scenes are often seen as more important than the film itself, and the songs remain in the minds of everyone for a long time even after the film has been forgotten. All the music tracks used in Danny's Bollywood Dance Crew's (DBDC) shows and teaching have been carefully selected to reflect the musical diversity of Bollywood.
Bollywood dance is a blend of classical Indian dance, Indian folk dances and many other dance forms such as jazz, hip hop, oriental dance, Latin dances and disco dance. The nature of dance scenes and the style of dancing varies a lot between different films depending on the music and atmosphere of the film. Colorful and flashy costumes are an important part of the Bollywood dance. Different colors and designs highlight the diversity of Bollywood and create a unique and glamorous atmosphere. DBDC invests in the quality of costumes used in performances in order create an impressive and authentic look. We design the costumes ourselves and manufacture them custom made in both Finland and India.
Powerful expression is an important aspect of Bollywood dance. The story of the dance scene needs to be conveyed through expressions, hand movements and dancing style of a performer. All performances by DBDC are marked by strong expressions of DBDC dancers. Conveying the right atmosphere through movement and expressions and a genuine love for Bollywood dance are the cornerstones of DBDC.
